Sydney Harbor

Sydney, New South Wales. A Panorama shot of famous Sydney sites, the Harbor Bridge, the Sydney Opera House and the City skyline. The shot was taken close to Mrs Macquaires chair. It was a total of 25 shots taken vertically. You can see a fisherman on the edge of the photo and a small fishing boat in the middle of the harbor. What a beautiful view to be fishing.

Overlooking the Sydey Harbor over to the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Skyline, i was stading below the Sydney Harbor Bridge 45 minutes before sunrise. THis provided a nice orange color in the background of the Opera House with the lights on the bridge and skyline to be on.

This photo was taken in North end of the Sydney Harbor beneath the Harbor Bridge looking back to Sydney City Center and the Sydney Opera House. Of course, taken just before sunrise it provides a nice sky color as well as the lights of the city still on. I shot this with a wide angle lens and wondered how much of the bridge to include. I decided to make the focus point the opera house and the city skyline as the focal point. Such a beautiful city, it is easy to compose a photo here.

Sydney Harbor Start of a New Day.

A panorama of the Sydney Harbor including the Bridge, the City Center, and the Opera House. This was taken 30 minutes before sunrise which allowed a nice colors but the lights of the city were still on resulting in a nice colorful shot. It was stitched together with about 15 shots. which does create challenges. Overall it is a beautiful spot in Sydney.

Sydney Blue Hour

The north end of Sydney Harbor provides the location for this shot. The famous harbor bridge crosses the Harbor going right into the Sydney City Center. In the new morning light, the Opera House stands lit up and proud of its place in the harbor. This was about 330-45 minutes before sunrise in the summer time in Sydney. A nice calm day making a nice reflection off the water.

Gog and Magog as the Sun Goes Down

Gog and Magog are 2 of the limestock towers making up what is known as the 12 Apostles. The stacks are over 150ft high and were formed by erosion from the ocean. They are along the Great Ocean Highway

Gog and Magog are 2 of the limestock towers making up what is known as the 12 Apostles. The 12 Apostles are a set of limestone towers in the ocean off the coast ot southern Australia. The stacks are over 150ft high and were formed by erosion from the ocean. The strange thing is there were only 8 towers with one falling in early 2000s.

Sunrise on the Great Ocean Road

Taken just outside of Apollo Bay, Victoria which is along Australia's Great Ocean Road. It was taken just after sunrise and i used a ND Filter to reduce the sun's brightness. I was able to get a nice reflection in the water on the rocks and it made the shutter slow enough to have an nice affect on the waves splashing against the rocks.

Splash!

This is a photo taken on the Great Ocean Road near Apollo Bay in Australia. The suft was coming up to this interesting rock which looked like mud. I had a ND filter on which allowed the slow shutter speed and make the splash look interesting and of course may the sunrise a little bit more colorful. Enjoyed the trip
