When i first saw the sunrise image on the back of my camera, i thought it looked like long hair flowing in the wind. This colorful sky was just before the sun came over the horizon. The trees are in the Cathy Froome Prairie Natural Area south of Fort Collins, Colorado
Sunburst Sunrise. It is usually a good idea to stay longer than you think. I had just captured a spectacular sunrise and the color done. I like the trees here to capture sunbursts and decided to wait for the sun to come over the horizon. I was thrilled to get a nice sunburst but a plus was to get some color in the sky to capture as well.
In Northern Colorado, there are a number of spots where windmills cover the eastern plains. Also, in December, there is no better sunrise than the Colorado Sunrise. Here I was able to combine the dirt road leading to the Springs Meadow Ranch Windmill in front of a spectacular December Colorado Sunrise One of my favorites
